How Chiropractic Can Help

What is Chiropractic?

When a bone in your spine becomes stuck (mis-aligned) or loses it’s normal motion, (as chiropractors we call this Subluxation) it may result in the following:

  • Aches and pains (back pain, neck pain, hip pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, leg pain)
  • Headaches
  • Stiffness
  • Muscle spasm/tightness
  • Disc problems
  • Pinched/trapped nerve
  • Inflammation
  • Numbness or tingling/pins and needles
  • Arthritis
  • Tension and inability to relax

Chiropractic is an approach to health and wellbeing aimed at locating and correcting mis-alignments of the spine and uses gentle, specific movements called Chiropractic adjustments to reduce pain and discomfort and to restore movement and function of the spine.

The most vital system in your body is your nervous system consisting of your brain (protected by your skull), spinal cord (protected by your spine) and all your nerves. It controls the function of all your cells and organs: directing everything from your breathing and digestion to the thoughts you have and the way you sense the world.

If your nervous system were to be impaired, interfered with or compromised so nerve messages to or from your brain were distorted, parts of your body may not work as intended.

The century-old basis of Chiropractic is that this helps your spine and nervous system to function to the best of its ability.
